TIME FLIES!!!

WHAT!!!! Thanksgiving day is a week away? Why does the time seem to fly by so fast when you aren't prepared. I feel I need to share some of the things I am truly grateful for.
* First of all my Husband, his hard work and time he spends providing for us and keeping us safe and warm.
* I am so grateful for my son Chancey, he may be a handful sometimes and is quick to disappear and leave me stressed out and pulling my hair out, but of all the onry things he does, he can turn around and just melt my heart with a simple I LOVE YOU MOM. He tells me I am his favorite girl.
* I don't know where I would be without my beautiful little Corryn. She truly lights up my life. She is a little attached to me right now and sometimes it drives me nuts but I don't think I would ever change the way things are. She is so loving and is going to be a perfect annoying little sister. She loves her brother so much and tries to do everything he does, much to his dismay.
* I am so grateful that we are poor, which means that I get to stay at home with my family. I wouldn't have it any other way.
* My extended family.... My brothers couldn't have picked out any greater friends than they did, I love both of my sisters inlaw so much, they have so much talent and have brought so much love to our family.
* My extended family on the other side, I have always told Kevin that I married him because his family was so great!
* My sister, I love watching her grow up! it brings back so many old memories of EAC when she calls to vent.
* My mom dad and father inlaw, I couldn't have asked for a better support system.
* Most of all the gospel in my life, I am scared to even think of where my life might be without it, the blessings the people I have met in serving my Heavenly Father, and the priesthood in my home.
* I am Truly so so blessed to have LOVE and happiness in my life and I just want to give thanks to everyone who contributes to that!

HALLOWEEN!

This year we got to go see Great Grandma Tedford for Halloween. Chancey and Corryn just love her. Even after she goes to bed we can usually find both kids in her room "entertaining" her. I love the smile she gets on her face when we show up.

Trunk or Treat this year wasn't so much fun for us this year. My kids don't do lines very well and thats pretty much all we did. I did have the cutest little fireman, or fire truck guy, if you asked Chancey what he was. And Corryn was a cute little dead fairy! and they did get alot of chocolate, which I will be taxing.

OH, TO BE 3!

I seriously can't wait for year three to be over.... I mean really does he really have to try it for himself to see if what I said was true. For example-
#1.Please don't climb on the laundry basket to get to the top shelf, I put those treats up there so you can't reach them.
#2. No Chancey the urinals arejust for going pee, not poop, and of course he has to try that one when I am the third person in line at the Bank.
#3. I know Tarzan likes hay but please wait for mommy or daddy to help you feed him, and where he found the knife to cut 7 bales of hay open, we can just blame dad for that one.
#4. Yes you have to wear underwear everyday!
#5. Please stay out of the truck when we are playing outside, because even when it isn't on it can still roll into something.

So there are my top 5 reasons that I am so ready for year 3 to be over. And yes I do understand that he will still be doing some of those same things when he turns 4. I was just hopping that he is a try it one time kind of kid....... wishful thinking I know!

A pokey bush with treats!

So as I was pulling thorns out of Chancey's hand last night, I asked him what had happened, and trhough tears and some screaming, he tells me that he was just walking around and he saw a poky bush (or a cactus) and it had some "treats" on it. He thought that I would really like these treats and he just wanted to get me one. Confused, I made hime go outside and show me what treats he was going to get me. He tried to get me a prickly pear. So now he knows that all pokey bushes are dangerous even if they have yummy treats on them. Now everytime we see a "pokey" bush Corryn says Ouch, no no Chancey.

The Barber

Chancey thought he would shake things up a bit this morning and give it a try with the clippers, that his dad left plugged in this morning. Instead of calling his dad we surprised him at work. When we walked into his office he was on the phone explaining something to a customer and totally lost his train of thought, and had to re focus and tell him he would call him back.
As I was "finishing" his hair cut he kept calling me names and telling me that he only wanted a little bit of a hair cut. I wouldn't have minded so much but I was planning on do family pics this weekend, I still might, because now he looks even more like his daddy!

Nana

So yesterday was the one year anniversary of our Nana being in Heaven. Chancey, Corryn and I brought flowers to her grave and Chancey gave her a picture that he had drawn just for her. He was so sweet, when we got there he asked me if he could sing her a song, he wanted to sing I am a Child of God. We sat out there for a minute talking about all the good things he remembered about her. When it was time to go, I started to walk away, I turned around to tell him to keep up, and he was giving the headstone a kiss and telling his Nana he loved and missed her. Sometimes I can catch him talking about her to his toys in his room, or maybe he is really talking to her. He really is the sunshine in my life. No matter how crazy he drives me he truely is my theacher. Now I really know what " to be like a child" really means. They are so close to our Heavenly Father. I love my Children so much and can't wait to be with the rest of my family for time and ALL eternity!

Chancey has been trying to be sooo god this week because he really wants a "whipper" or a pig whip from the feed store. I know some people may think it is a bad idea to give a kid a whip of any kind, but the more I thought about it, the more I think that this would benefit me. When he is not obeying he gets the "whipper" taken away and Mommy gets to use it. If you don't have a 3 year old boy in your house I could see how this would confuse you and you are probably thinking that I am a horrible mom but some times you have to go to extreme measures to get a point across to my son. So tomorrow we will be on our way to get a "whipper" and I just can't wait for it.
